FULL: Puppetry Studio (Main)
We will read folktales about cats and compare the different stories as inspiration to write an original tale to be performed on a tiny stage. Using a ChompSaw (a kid-safe power tool), participants will safely cut cardboard to create shadow puppets. We'll host a performance of our masterpiece for family and friends on the final session. This four-week puppetry workshop is for youth ages 8-12 and meets 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Thursdays October 8, 15, 22 and 29. Registration is required. Participants must attend all sessions and have read any folktale about cats before the first session. Visit the Children's Room to pick up a copy of a book. Medicare Open Enrollment Workshop (Main)
Learn about how Open Enrollment works and discover tools available to help you review your options. Medicare Open Enrollment is the one time of the year when all people with Medicare can review, compare, enroll or dis-enroll in Medicare Advantage, Original Medicare, and Part D drug plans. This is important because health needs may change from year to year; health or drug plan may change the costs, benefits, and drug coverage they offer; provider and pharmacy networks may change. By reviewing and comparing costs and benefits of the plans available for the upcoming year, there is potential to save money and ensure appropriate coverage. Medicare Open Enrollment runs from mid-October to early December. Coverage of all plans begins January 1 of the following year. Registration requested, but not required.
