The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures throughout Memorial Day weekend due to two significant events on May 23-25, 2025.

New measures include deferred student loan payments, updated remote learning guidance and enacting legislation to protect residents from evictions and foreclosures

Cambridge Veterans' Services and various City and State Officials held a special ceremony in honor of National Purple Heart Day on Wednesday, August 7, in the Sullivan Chamber of Cambridge City Hall. During the ceremony, City officials, speaking on behalf of the City of Cambridge, offered their deepest gratitude and heartfelt respect to those who sacrificed much in service to their country.

The City will begin accepting applications for the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund on Monday, April 13, 2020. Under guidelines issued by the Fund’s Trustees, the City will be prioritizing applicants who demonstrate a loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis.
