Self-Defense Training
To allow women in Cambridge to gain the tools necessary to protect themselves, the Cambridge Police Department currently offers a self-defense training course for women ages 16 and older, who live or work in the City of Cambridge.
Pay Equity Dashboard
This pay equity dashboard (Beta) was created to display the City’s wage data in a transparent and easily accessible way so that anyone would have access to it. This project was part of the Pay Equity Initiative of former Mayor E. Denise Simmons.
Central Square Bus Access and Circulation Study
The City of Cambridge hired a consultant to study the transit routing, circulation, and access for MBTA routes (1, CT1, 47, 64, 70, 70A, 83, and 91) around Central Square. The purpose of the study was to develop recommendations for reducing crowding for people waiting for the bus and to improve access to and circulation around Central Square.

Storefront Improvement Program provides technical and financial assistance to property owners or tenants seeking to renovate or restore commercial building exterior facades.
Get Help with Heating Bills!
Applications to the Fuel Assistance Program, which helps low-income residents pay their winter heating bills, will be accepted through May 10.
