2026 Bow Tie Bike Ride
Trace the city's bow tie shape on the annual Bow Tie Bike Ride, hosted by the Cambridge Bicycle Committee and Department of Transportation! This relaxed, family-friendly ride will start and end at Sennott Park—rain or shine—near the intersection of Broadway and Tremont St. The ride will leave promptly at 10:00 a.m. and return by noon. Bike mechanics will be available before the ride to make quick safety checks. No bike? No problem! Anyone 16 and older can request a free Bluebikes pass by Thursday, October 1, by emailing bluebikes@cambridgema.gov. You will need the Bluebikes app to redeem the pass. Stay tuned for route updates by signing up for Community Bike Ride email alerts or by checking the Cambridge Bike Rides website as we get closer to the October 3. There is no registration or charge for the tour—just show up and enjoy!
Climate Quest with Cambridge Public Library (Main)
Celebrate Earth Day and the natural world around us here in Cambridge with an afternoon of discussion and exploration of our urban environment! Join the hosts of Cambridge Public Library's two climate-focused book groups for a brief guided conversation followed by an interactive scavenger hunt that will explore the areas around the library. You'll make connections with neighbors, learn more about our area's changing climate, and see the efforts and actions people in Cambridge are taking to protect the planet. We will meet in the Rossi Room of the Main Library and then head outside to complete a scavenger hunt. Attendees are welcome to stay in Joan Lorentz Park or areas surrounding the library to complete the scavenger hunt or head to any other outdoor location!

Crafternoon: Perler Bead Pins
Celebrate back-to-school in style by making Perler bead pins and bag charms! All materials are provided. Recommended for ages 6 and up with a caregiver. This program can accommodate 12 beaders and their caregiver. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. This program starts promptly and any unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting.
