Kids Council Vacancy Deadline Extended to June 30
The Kids Council is dedicated to developing policy and program recommendations aimed at improving the quality of life for children, youth and families in Cambridge, so that youth are: healthy and living in safe communities; live in stable, self-sufficient, and supportive families; are engaged in enriching activities and civic life; and are prepared with the tools to help them succeed in school.
Changes to Weekend COVID-19 Case Reporting
Effective May 7, 2022, the Cambridge Public Health Department will transition to updating case data on the Cambridge COVID-19 Data Center from Monday - Friday as opposed to the current 7-day update.
City of Cambridge to Follow Governor's Capacity Increases for Phase III, Step 1 Sectors on Monday, February 8
On February 4, 2021, the Governor of Massachusetts announced that as of Monday, February 8, 2021, the capacity limits for certain businesses will increase from the current 25% to 40%. After careful consideration, the City of Cambridge will follow the increase but will continue to monitor and amend if necessary in the interest of the public’s safety. The City of Cambridge previously announced that it will be returning to Phase III, Step 1 effective on Monday, February 8 at 12:00 a.m.
Summer of Peace Initiative (2008 to 2015)
The goal of the Summer of Peace Initiative was to support the range of work that promotes a summer free of youth violence in Cambridge through bringing people together to connect, collaborate, share information, and build relationships.
