The City of Cambridge is excited to provide an update on the development of the Cambridge Community Safety Department. The team has been hard at work creating this new department and getting ready to have non police responders going out on mental health 911 calls this Fall, 2023.

Learn to use the Gif-O-Graf machines with some horror themed stop motion. This class will show you how to use the Gif-O-Graf machines from the Hive and give you a chance to do something yourself. You can even save your story to watch later! Space is limited. Special event tickets will be available at the third floor Children's desk prior to program start time. In observance of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 1, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed, and payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations.

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., we will host the sixth Working Group Meeting for the Broadway Safety Improvement Project. This meeting will specifically focus on the design plans for Section B of the project.

The City of Cambridge is working to adopt an ordinance that will require new buildings and buildings undergoing a major renovation to eliminate the use of fossil fuels. Making buildings fossil fuel free means healthier homes and buildings and will help Cambridge reach our climate goals.
