The Housing Department works to promote and maintain the socioeconomic diversity of the city by managing and implementing the City’s efforts to meet the housing needs of low-, and moderate-, and middle-income residents, and develops initiatives to preserve and expand the City's stock of affordable rental and homeownership housing.

Bicycle owners need to clean and care for their bikes, ideally monthly. But for apartment dwellers, this is really hard! These centrally located bicycle wash stations would allow bicycle owners to wash off dirt, grime, and salt from their bikes.

The Blue Envelope Program is a communication tool designed to make traffic stops and other law enforcement interactions safer and less stressful for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities, or other communication challenges

Through this project, we will add separated bike lanes, improve existing crosswalks, make changes to parking and loading, and evaluate changes to bus stop locations on Hampshire Street between Inman Square and Broadway.
