Envision Cambridge is the City’s current citywide plan, a roadmap to the year 2030, setting out a course of action to promote sustainable and inclusive growth. It establishes a framework for growth management that builds upon and complements existing patterns of development, while meeting the needs of today’s community and future generations. Prior to the establishment of Envision Cambridge, the comprehensive plan for Cambridge was composed of a set of documents: The Zoning Map and the Zoning Ordinance, the City’s growth policy document, Toward A Sustainable Future, and the major area-wide planning studies across the city.

Human survivors have moved underground, and it's up to 10-year-old Elvie to distribute a cure made from Monarch wing scales to save the world! (Content: dystopian themes, some action and violence, natural disasters) Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Deliver critical supplies to unhoused residents through established programs, including items such as socks, hats, gloves, hand warmers, feminine hygiene products, and other items to assist people living in unsheltered situations.

Walk-in access by the public is available Monday through Friday during regular City business hours (Monday, 8:30am-8pm, Tuesday-Thursday, 8:30am-5pm, and Friday, 8:30am-12pm), and in-person public appointments continue to be offered by many departments.

With temperatures expected to rise into the 90s this week, the City of Cambridge is excited to welcome the return of waterplay season! Waterplay features at many neighborhood parks and playgrounds are now open for the summer and offer a fun, free way for kids to cool off and stay active. Children of all ages can splash, spray, and play in a variety of water features—like splash pads, sprinklers, and spouts—available seven days a week at select locations.  Note: Waterplay features at school playgrounds will be turned on after the school year ends, beginning June 26.

Installing outdoor workout equipment in local parks encourages people to exercise. This equipment would include pull-up and dip bars, benches, and locations for stretching. Outdoor gyms help keep Cambridge residents healthy and fit!
