Public Hearing of the Half Crown-Marsh Neighborhood Co.nservation District Commission in order to review applications to alter designated properties and other matters under the provisions of Chapter 2.78 of the Code of the City of Cambridge and the order establishing the district. The Commission has a monthly meeting calendar, though meetings may be cancelled if no applications are received

Continued implementation of the Urban Forest Master Plan (UFMP) guides development of Cambridge’s tree assets and enables the City to expand the urban forest canopy and be more resilient to climate change. In FY22, Public Works reached the UFMP ecommendation of planting 1,000 trees annually. To increase long-term survival of newly planted trees, Public Works has improved pre-planting soil preparation and post-planting aftercare. The Community Benefits Advisory Committee (CBAC) is a volunteer group of community members who work together to make recommendations to the City Manager for the approval and awarding of grant agreements with nonprofit organizations for the provision of Community Benefits. Community Benefits may be programs or services provided by nonprofit organizations that directly benefit Cambridge residents.

The City is on track to hit it's goal of generating 5% of the electricity it uses from onsite renewable systems.

The Cambridge Council on Aging partners with Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) to offer hot, nutritious lunch meals to Cambridge residents ages 60 and older. Changes in funding allocation will impact the lunch meal program beginning April 1.

Cambridge residents who have a disability plate or placard may file an application for a disability space adjacent to their homes.
