Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Pizza will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. Two is a crowd when Peter and his little brother, Fudge, are in the same room. Grown-ups think Fudge is absolutely adorable, but Peter and his pet turtle, Dribble, know the truth. From throwing temper tantrums to smearing mashed potatoes on the wall, Fudge causes mischief wherever he goes! Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family. For a copy of the book, stop by the Children’s Room after you've registered. CloudHouse is a temporary pavilion that provides shade and seating in an active recreational area to reduce the impacts of extreme heat. The pavilion provides flexible seating and an open form that invites people to socialize, rest, and enjoy a favorite neighborhood park!

Learning Spanish can be a rewarding and joyous journey! This class, open to Cambridge residents 60+, is about building connections, nurturing curiosity, and celebrating the lifelong adventure of learning together.

Stop by the Boudreau Branch in the afternoon to create a beautiful window hanging using colored tissue paper and glue! The final product will have a similar appearance to stained glass. This drop-in event is intended for school aged children and their families.

Ayah Al-Zubi is serving her first term on the Cambridge City Council as the youngest Councillor in the City's history. She moved around a lot growing up, landing in Cambridge for college which has now become home. She is a graduate of Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She is a Muslim Arab woman who rents in the city and understands the difficulty of trying to get by.

Preceding our October 13th discussion of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, join us for a free screening of the 2008 film adaptation starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to bring friends! We encourage audience participation! Quote reciting is a must for Twilight! Popcorn and drinks will be provided.
