The Cambridge Water Department (CWD) carefully monitors the City’s water supply system on a weekly basis to ensure an adequate supply of water is available to meet the needs of our residents, businesses, and local organizations.

The City of Cambridge Community Garden program is partnering with the Cambridge Public Library to host a summer reading to uncover the radical roots of urban gardening with Kate Brown, author of Tiny Gardens Everywhere (2026).

Participatory Budgeting (PB) is a democratic process that empowers community members to help decide how to spend part of a public budget. The City will allocate a record-high $2 million for this year’s process, which doubles the previous budget of $1 million. The PB outreach team will be collecting ideas from the Cambridge community through direct outreach in public spaces and at public events Sept. 11-Oct. 9, 2023.

Cultural nonprofits active in Cambridge now have a little more time to turn in their applications for the Create Cambridge: Arts Nonprofit Recovery Grant, which offers COVID-19 Recovery Grants ranging from $6,000 to $30,000.
