The MBTA’s Track Improvement Program aims to eliminate all speed restrictions on the Red Line and to bring the tracks to a state of good repair. Work on the Red Line will result in closures, and the City of Cambridge will update this page whenever a new closure is expected.

The Cambridge Affordable Housing Trust (the Trust) works to expand and protect affordable housing opportunities in Cambridge. The Trust administers and oversees most City funds allocated to create and preserve affordable rental and homeownership housing, and to support housing programs that address the city’s affordable housing needs.

A wealth of fact and folklore about these masters of the night explains the natural and unnatural history of owls. A variety of live North American owls provides the focus of this presentation. Recommended for children ages 6 and up and their caregivers. Space is limited, and we may not be able to accommodate late arrivals once the program begins. Thank you for understanding! Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Pauline Wells have confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred this morning, Saturday, July 4th, in Cambridge. The preliminary investigation suggests that the victim, identified as Xavier Bautista, 32 from Cambridge , was shot shortly before 4:30 a.m. his body was located by a pedestrian at around 5:30 a.m. who called 911. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Cambridge Police Department at (617) 349-3300. Anonymous tips can be shared with the Cambridge Police Department through phone, text or e-mail. Instructions for doing so are available on the CPD website. www.cambridgepolice.org
