Pre-registration Required. The four-week workshop will cover a variety of topics including: an overview of the home buying process, credit & budgeting, obtaining a mortgage, legal issues, home inspections, and an introduction to Cambridge's financial assistance programs. July 8th Community Meeting: Fatal Shooting on Broadway/Norfolk
A community meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 8 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Senior Center to discuss an early morning shooting that took place on July 4 that resulted in Xavier Bautista, a 32-year-old Cambridge resident, being tragically killed in the area of Broadway and Norfolk Street.

12-14 Laurel Street
12-14 Laurel Street is a 2.5-story duplex in Cambridgeport between Central Square and the Charles River. The property is owned by a non-profit who is donating the 4,573 square foot site to Just A Start (JAS) to create permanently affordable ownership housing. The existing building will be demolished and replaced with a new, expanded building with a similar façade design.
The project will proceed as-of-right under the AHO.
Furniture for the O’Connell Library
The furniture at the O’Connell library is quite worn down. This proposal would provide the library with new tables, chairs, computer workstations, and loveseats for parents and children to read together.
