The next Working Group meeting for the Mass Ave Planning Study will focus on zoning for Mass Ave, specifically the areas of North Mass Ave and South of Porter Square. The next Working Group meeting for the Mass Ave Planning Study will focus on zoning for Mass Ave, specifically the areas of North Mass Ave and South of Porter Square. Beginning Spring 2019 and lasting for approximately 12 months, several improvements will be taking place at the Taylor Square Fire Station. Work will be taking place on the interior and exterior of the building. See below for project updates, timeline and additional info.

The Department of Public Works and the City's Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site Community Meeting on Wednesday, June 4 from 4-6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the corner of Chetwynd Road and Newell Street to discuss the Chetwynd Road Reconstruction Project.

Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House is partnering with Cambridge Health Alliance for a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, August 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the 17th Annual Port Pride event. The clinic will be located at 71 Cherry Street. Everyone ages 12 and over is welcome to get a free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of immigration status. No ID or health insurance is needed.

Hand Embroidery will cover an assortment of basic embroidery stitches that can be used to embellish your clothing and hide (or highlight!) holes and stains! Leave class with a sampler of embroidery stitches you can refer back to, along with knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques for stitching up embroidered designs. Suitable for beginners with little or no embroidery experience, or those who want a refresher on the basics.

Treat yourself to an afternoon of fun, creativity, and community while a local artist guides us step-by-step through the process of painting a beautiful art piece, suitable for hanging on your door or wall. Tea and light refreshments provided. No experience necessary. All are welcome. Old clothing recommended, as acrylic paint can stain. Seating is limited to 8. Registration is required and will open November 24.

A new City park will be developed at 322 Binney Street in the East Cambridge neighborhood.
