This proposal will build a third standalone outdoor public toilet that is accessible 24 hours per day.

The next Community Meeting for MAPS will focus on the area South of Porter Square, and share a draft vision and potential ideas for the South of Porter Square planning area.

This will be the first public meeting for the study of city-owned property in Central Square.

The City’s Contractor, Indus, will conduct roadway preservation work on Wednesday, September 20. A truck will be spraying the roadway with a plant-based solution called Fog Seal. The solution goes down as a white, almost opaque spray, but once dry, it leaves a transparent “seal” over the pavement.

Celebrate Earth Day at the Central Square Branch of the Cambridge Public Library! Come decorate a terracotta pot or recycled planter, then plant a seed in your new pot to take home to watch grow. All seeds and supplies will be provided. Registration encouraged. The City of Cambridge does not discriminate, including on the basis of disability. Various city departments will be sponsoring a series of Halloween events in Cambridge between October 25 -31, 2024.

All cannabis businesses, including Marijuana Treatment Centers (MTC), as defined in the Cannabis Business Permit Ordinance, require a Cannabis Business Permit from Cambridge Inspectional Services Department (ISD) before opening. This city permit is different from the state Marijuana License application that is managed by the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (MA CCC). Before the MA CCC issues a final Marijuana License, they will request a copy of your Cannabis Business Permit.

The Cambridge Public Library will host Reclaiming Folk, an event series celebrating people of color in folk music.
