Human Service Programs

Join us for free food and fun every summer! The Cambridge Summer Food Program provides free, nutritious meals to Cambridge children every weekday at parks across the city. 

  • Open to all Cambridge residents ages 18 and under
  • Free meals at Cambridge parks Monday – Friday  
  • No identification required to get a meal
  • Vegetarian options at every location

2026 Summer Food Schedule

August Schedule Update

  • All Summer Food sites will be closed on Friday, August 14 for a staff development day. Friday, August 14 is also the last day that dinner meals will be served through the program.
  • During the last two weeks of the program (Monday, August 17 – Friday, August 28): breakfast and lunch meals will be served at four parks:
    • Donnelly Field (61 Willow St.)
    • Fresh Pond Apartments Playground (362–364 Rindge Ave.)
    • Louis A. DePasquale Playground (Danehy Park, 66 Field St.)
    • Sennott Park (305 Broadway)

Breakfast and Lunch Locations (through Thursday, August 13)

  • Breakfast served from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.

  • Lunch served from 11:30 - 12:30 p.m.
    •  Recreation activities at the parks until 2 p.m.

Glacken Playground, 637 Huron Ave.

Greene-Rose Heritage Park, 155 Harvard St.

Rain Locations: During rain or inclement weather, breakfast and lunch meals will be served at Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.), Fresh Pond Apartments (362-364 Rindge Ave.), and the War Memorial Recreation Center (1640 Cambridge St.)
