Capstone Communities LLC and Hope Real Estate Enterprises LLC are planning a new 100% affordable housing rental development at 2072 Massachusetts Avenue near Porter Square.  The proposed building will include 49 units, with more than two-thirds being family-sized units (2- and 3- bedroom).  41 of the units will serve households earning 60% of the area median income (AMI) and 8 of the units will serve households earning 30% of AMI.   All units will be affordable in perpetuity.  The ground level on Mass Ave. will feature neighborhood retail space.   

The building will be designed to Passive House standards, have a green roof and rooftop solar panels and other energy efficient features.   

The developers are now seeking needed zoning approvals and financing to allow construction to begin in 2022.
