Description

Councillor Sumbul Siddiqui, Mayor Marc McGovern, and the Cambridge Employee Diversity Committee cordially invite you to the 2nd Annual City of Cambridge Community Iftar on the evening of Wednesday, May 22nd, 2019 at Cambridge City Hall, 795 Mass Ave, in the 2nd floor Sullivan Chamber.

The Iftar is the daily sunset meal to break the day’s fasting during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and one observed as holy by those of Muslim faith worldwide. Ramadan begins this year on May 5th and will end on the evening of June 4th, 2019.

The program will start promptly at 7:00 pm in the Sullivan Chamber with presentations from the City and community, followed by the Adhan (call to prayer) at sunset, and concluding with a delicious meal to be held at the Citywide Senior Center, located at 806 Mass Ave, across the street from City Hall.
