The Cambridge Consumers’ Council will be hosting the next Document Shred Event Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., in front of Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue. This event will be held rain or shine, for Cambridge residents only. 

 

The Shred Day event, which is on a first come, first served, or full truck basis, will provide free public shredding and allow residents to safely dispose of unwanted document and records.  Documents will be destroyed on the spot in a mobile shredding truck. There is a limit of 5 paper size boxes per person. Drop-off parking will be available on Bigelow Street.

The Cambridge Consumers’ Council works in cooperation with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.

 

Please note that new procedures will be in effect for this event as part of COVID-19 safety protocols. Staff will be on hand to guide and direct attendees upon arrival. Face coverings and maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet is mandatory at all times. More information will be added here once the procedures are finalized.
