Vail Court Community Meeting

On Wednesday, June 14th at 6:30 pm, the City will hold its second public meeting in the Sullivan Chamber at City Hall to provide project updates, introduce the contractor selected for abatement, demolition and site work activities that are planned, and to share available details regarding the abatement and demolition process and schedule.

Willard St. Community Meeting

City staff and their consultant team will present preliminary design alternatives for the Willard Street Drainage Improvement Project. This meeting will take place on Thursday, June 15, from 6:30-8:30pm at the Friends Meeting House located at 5 Longfellow Park in Cambridge.

The City of Cambridge is sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste collection day on Saturday, June 17th, from 9am to 1pm in the Volpe Transportation Center off Third St.

King Open/Cambridge Street Upper Schools & Community Complex Community Meeting

City staff, architects, and the Construction Manager, Rich – KBE King School Joint Venture, will be in attendance to present the latest design for the project as well as discuss the construction schedule and impacts on residents. The Cambridge Traffic, Parking, & Transportation Department will also present on bicycle lane and pedestrian design considerations as well as bus and student drop off/pick up.

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING Removal of Public Shade Trees City of Cambridge, Department of Public Works Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 87, Sections 3 and 4, a public hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the DPW Main Conference Room at 147 Hampshire Street, Cambridge, Mass., to consider the removal of the following public tree(s): 1. 249 Third St – Removal of 4 street trees (6.7" zelkova, 7.5" pear, 7.2" pear, and 8.1" pear) due to private property development and streetscape improvements. Location will be replanted. The tree(s) identified above have been posted for public inspection. Any objections to their removal must be submitted in writing to the City Arborist, prior to or during the hearing.
