Caregiver Council for DHSP

Who We Are

The Caregiver Council for DHSP is a group of caregivers who work together to increase equitable access to the Department of Human Service Programs' afterschool and Out-of-School Time (OST) programs. The Caregiver Council for DHSP represents diverse caregiver perspectives and informs DHSP's processes, programs, and outreach strategies related to afterschool and OST.

Goals

  • Influence the City of Cambridge to support caregivers to collaborate, lead, and participate in decision-making.
  • Build systems that support lasting change.
  • Amplify voices that are often not heard or focused on to balance decision-making power.
  • Collaborate with caregivers to improve programs and processes.
