Description

On Tuesday, September 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the City will host a Project Open House for the Mt Auburn St at Aberdeen Ave Intersection Safety Improvement Project. The event will take place on the plaza near 699 Mt Auburn St. (near the Star Market). This is a drop-in event. You do not need to attend for the full time.

About the Project

The City will make improvements to Mt. Auburn Street between Belmont Street and Brattle Street, including the intersections with Homer Avenue and Aberdeen Avenue. These changes include adding turn lanes, improving bike lanes, and extending the current bus lane. We will also reduce travel lanes for vehicles heading west (toward Belmont and Watertown) from two lanes to one.

About the Open House

At the Open House, we will:

  • Discuss updated plans for the design of the project
  • Provide information regarding next steps, including the schedule for project implementation
  • Informally chat with attendees about the project
