The City of Cambridge Department of Veterans Services will host a Veterans Day Observance event on Saturday, November 11, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., at Cambridge Common, by the Civil War monument, which is bordered by Massachusetts Avenue, Garden Street, and Waterhouse Street, near Harvard Square. An informal gathering and free luncheon will follow from 12-4 p.m., at the Sheraton Commander Hotel, Liberty Revolution Ballroom, 16 Garden Street, Cambridge, adjacent to the Cambridge Common. In case of inclement weather, the 11 a.m. ceremony will move to the Sheraton Commander.

Additionally, the Department of Veterans Services is holding an in-person Veterans Appreciation Week November 13-17, at the Veterans Life and Recreation Center (VLRC), adjacent to the Veterans Services Office at 51 Inman Street, 2nd floor, Cambridge. Each of the following events will provide an opportunity for veterans and their loved ones to gather and participate in health, wellness, and other fun and interactive activities. Free food and refreshments will also be available November 13-16, from 12-4 p.m., at the VLRC.
