Apply to the Bridge to College Program!

CLC grads 2023

Do you want to prepare for college while earning college credits? The Community Learning Center’s Bridge to College Program prepares adult learners to succeed in college-level courses. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-25 program.

As a Bridge to College student, you will:

  • Improve your reading, writing, and math skills
  • Develop your computer and study skills
  • Earn free college credits for Bunker Hill Community College English courses
  • Get help applying for college, financial aid, and scholarships

Bridge to College students must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency degree to be eligible for the program. The program will run from September 2024 – June 2025. Classes meet weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:15 – 9:15 p.m. at the Community Learning Center in Central Square. There are also group advising sessions once a month on Thursdays.

"The Bridge to College program made me realize ... that I was confident and ready enough to go back to school,” says program graduate Luis Urbina Henriquez. “My college writing class [during the program] was key for me to decide that I was prepared to take some more intensive courses. The program gave me the information and the tools I needed to design my own journey from the Bridge to College program to Bunker Hill Community College, and then to [a four-year college].”
