Police Chaplaincy Program

Established in 2013, the Cambridge Police Chaplaincy Program is the first of its kind in the Commonwealth where chaplains will work with the department and be called out to crime scenes and significant events to offer services to officers, victims, and members of the community.

Prescription Drop Box and Sharps Collection

Register as a Sex Offender

If you are a sex offender in Massachusetts, you must register with the state sex offender registry every year. Depending on your level, you will need to either mail your registration information to the registry board, or come into your local police department and update it.

Register my bicycle

The Cambridge Police Department is no longer offering bicycle registrations. If you previously registered your bike with CPD, it will remain on file. However, bicyclists are encouraged to register their bikes with the National Bike Registry. You can register your bike HERE.

Safety Net Collaborative

The mission of Safety Net is to foster positive youth development, promote mental health, support safe school and community environments, and limit youth involvement in the juvenile justice system through coordinated prevention, intervention, and diversion services for Cambridge youth and families.

Securing housing but have a criminal record

Through the Cambridge Second Chance Program, members of the Cambridge Police Department’s Clinical Support Unit work with eligible residents and various partners through the Cambridge Community Court to seal their statutorily-eligible CORI (criminal offender record information) in order to help support long-term, unhoused residents who have not been able to secure housing due to their criminal records.

Self-Defense Training

To allow women in Cambridge to gain the tools necessary to protect themselves, the Cambridge Police Department currently offers a self-defense training course for women ages 16 and older, who live or work in the City of Cambridge.
