ECRC: Raising Kids Beyond the Gender Binary

Description

The paradigm of gender is changing and it is essential that parents and caregivers both understand and know how to best communicate these topics with their child. This program will help identify the difference between all of the ‘alphabet soup’ of LGBTQ+; gender identity, gender expression, biological sex, romantic attraction, and sexual orientation. We will explore the ways in which environment and the language we use teach children about gender and how we can move beyond the binary.
