The Mayor's Office will be enlisting the Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective to host a cypher on Friday, October 18, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.on the steps of City hall. A cypher--otherwise known as an impromptu concert--is when a group of artists take turns rapping over a musical backing. (For those unfamiliar with a cypher, or the Cambridge Hip-Hop collective, you can watch their videos  here: https://www.facebook.com/cambridgehiphop/videos/913970938940567/).

Billed as a celebration of diversity, the cypher will showcase a diverse group of rappers who have roots in the Cambridge and indigenous communities. This will also be an opportunity to highlight artists for Hispanic Heritage Month.

There will be a food truck on site for concessions.
