Join us to celebrate the completion of the Inman Square Improvements on Saturday, October 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Vellucci Plaza at Cambridge and Hampshire streets (in front of Moona).
Check out new pedestrian crossings, separated bike lanes, new public art installation, an improved Vellucci Community Plaza, and much more. Learn about the plaza’s namesake, Alfred E. Vellucci, who served as the Mayor of Cambridge for 4 terms between 1960-1990. Mayor Vellucci was known for his advocacy on behalf of the working-class residents, especially those facing economic hardships. His legacy lives on in the City today.
This event is free. There will be live music and refreshments after the speaking program.
