The result of nearly 250 years of investigation, discovery, and inventory of organisms, these collections provide an irreplaceable record of the history and are fundamental to understanding its evolution. James Hanken, Director of the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard, will discuss the value of natural history collections—and why they are indispensable to studies of climate change and biological conservation.
