Leaf Blower Ordinance To City Council

Dear Commercial Leaf Blower Operator/Interested Party:

As you may know by now, the Cambridge City Council is considering changes to the Noise Ordinance, as it relates to Leaf Blowers.  The attached is the Proposed New Ordinance as filed for consideration to the entire City Council.  Pursuant to the current Council Order on the issue, the License Commission is going to host a listening session on Monday, November 27, 4:00 p.m., via Zoom, https://www.cambridgema.gov/CityCalendar/view.aspx?guid=77a1e332328044bea81119d2c3ab7a57, to gather any input from you as to the proposed changes.  You can provide your thoughts at the Zoom session, or you can email them to us prior to the meeting date at noise@cambridgema.gov.  The License Commission will relate back any input gathered from you to the City Council for its consideration at the Ordinance Committee meeting of November 28, 2023.

The meeting will be/has been held remotely in accordance with Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2023 adopted by Massachusetts General Court and approved by the Governor.
