Secret Gardens of Cambridge Tour

Description

The Secret Gardens of Cambridge Tour takes you for a stroll through an inspiring array of privately owned gardens. This year more than thirty-five gardens are on the tour –twenty-five of which have never been on the tour before, and eight of which we haven't seen in over eight years. Garden enthusiasts should save Sunday, June 5th between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm – the next chance won’t be for another two years!

This biennial, self-guided garden tour, spanning five Cambridge neighborhoods, provides an opportunity to explore the city, discover new spaces, encounter new ideas and designs, and learn gardening tips.

Your $25 ticket will support many important programs for the Cambridge Public Library. Free raffle ticket with every ticket purchase! Friends of Cambridge Public Library members receive a $5 discount. Children under 18 are free but must be accompanied by an adult. Beginning May 1st, purchase tickets online at www.cambridgepubliclibraryfriends.org, or in person at the following retailers:

  • Big Picture Framing, 1100 Massachusetts Avenue
  • Bonny’s Garden Center, 41 Bay State Road
  • Brattle Square Florist, 31 Brattle Street
  • Nomad, 1741 Massachusetts Avenue
  • Porter Square Books, 25 White Street
  • Rodney’s Bookstore, 698 Massachusetts Avenue

The “Secret Gardens” tour, sponsored by the Friends of Cambridge Public Library, is the single biggest fund-raiser for the library. The event raises more than $10,000 and provides funds for books, supports programs, and brings guest authors to the library for readings.
