Michael Eric Dyson is a professor of sociology at Georgetown University, Washington, DC. A cultural critic and celebrated public intellectual, he has authored more than 15 books including Debating Race and I May Not Get There With You: The True Martin Luther King Jr. Dyson has written acclaimed biographies of Marvin Gaye and Tupac Shakur, and served as a passionate voice for the communities affected by and victims of Hurricane Katrina in his book Come Hell or High Water.
