Description

The Shahnama by the Persian poet Firdawsi is one of the most frequently illustrated texts in Islamic art. This session will focus on a Shahnama that was likely produced in Kashmir at the turn of the 17th century, led by Mary McWilliams, the Norma Jean Calderwood Curator of Islamic and Later Indian Art; Ayşin Yoltar-Yıldırım, assistant curator; and Stephanie Rozman, the Calderwood Curatorial Fellow.

Free admission, but capacity is limited to 15 and registration is recommended. To register, please email am_visitorservices@harvard.edu.
