    • 2024 Outstanding City Employees Award Ceremony

      The annual City Manager’s Outstanding Employee Awards program recognizes City of Cambridge employees nominated by peers, department leaders, and/or members of the community for superior performance, positive attitude, hard work, and dedication to public service. The Brian Murphy Award for Leadership in the Workplace and Public Service is a distinguished recognition given to leaders who display extraordinary qualities in the workplace and dedication to community service.

    • Flamenco Dance Class

      This is a class for all, with or without any kind of physical limitation and have the option of dancing sitting on the chair if needed. So that each of you will discover your flamenco with your style.

      What's a zine? And how do I make one? Come find out! Kids are invited to explore making, copying, sharing, and swapping zines. Making zines will include activities like writing, drawing, and collage. Recommended for ages 7 and up. Snacks are provided!

    • Series: Collage Studio (Valente)

      Valente Branch, 826 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02141

      Collage is an art form that uses many different materials to create a picture! We will study books that use collage, plan and create our own projects, and host an art opening to share our creative work with family and friends! Session begins Friday, April 26 and runs on Fridays through May 17. This four-week art workshop is for kids ages 8-11. No experience necessary! Registration is required. Participants must attend all sessions and have read “Scraps” by Lois Ehlert before the first session. Stop by the Valente Branch Library to pick up a copy or call 617-349-4015.
