caution sign The information on this page may be outdated as it was published 2 years ago.

All Cambridge fire companies (all groups) have been rotating through "hands-on" training review of advancing and handling hose lines in various fire scenarios at the Brookline Fire training facility. Cambridge & Brookline firefighters are working together in these fire evolutions. "Theatrical" generated non-toxic smoke is used. All firefighters are fully dressed in PPE (personal protective equipment) and SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus).

Size-up, water supply, communications, exposure protection, hi-rise ops, RIT (rapid intervention team), command, accountability procedures and skills were reviewed and practiced.

Strong work by all!

Cambridge Engines 5 & 8, Ladder 3, Squad 2 & Division 2 along with Brookline Engines 1 & 6 are pictured in these training evolutions.
