Recognizing Emergency Medical Services Staff for their Critical Community Contributions During EMS Week May 18 - 24, 2025

On this EMS Week 2025, we celebrate our Paramedics, EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians) & 1st Responders, the men and women of Cambridge Fire who provide critical support. The EMS Week 2025 theme is "We Care For Everyone." Our Cambridge Firefighters have always risen to this challenge, to provide the highest-level of emergency medical care to Everyone, irregardless of social stature or perception.
Every fire company in the city is an EMS unit, staffed with Firefighter EMTs, Paramedics, &  Medical 1st Responders answering more than 7000 EMS calls per year, providing optimal medical care 24/7/365, under any conditions. Five of our response companies (Engine 1, Rescue 1, and Squads 2, 3, & 4) are Paramedic/Advanced Life Support units.

Thank you as always to our emergency medical partners Pro EMS, Cambridge Police Department, MIT EMS, and Cambridge ECC (Cambridge Emergency Communications) for the longstanding relationship providing Class 1 Emergency Medical Service to our city and beyond.
