Take the East Cambridge Customer Intercept Survey

Picture of Cambridge Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts

As part of its Customer Intercept Survey Program for Cambridge’s commercial districts, the Community Development Department (CDD) will begin surveying East Cambridge neighborhood (Cambridge St., First St., and Morgan Ave.) on Thursday, June 8 through June 23, 2023  (weather permitting). City consultants will be in the area handing out surveys to residents, patrons, and visitors.

The purpose of the Commercial District Customer Intercept Survey is to provide CDD's Economic Opportunity and Development Division with a better understanding of what Cambridge residents and East Cambridge customers want in their commercial district. Having specific information about the different types of consumers in each commercial district will enable CDD to better assist entrepreneurs in finding locations where their businesses can succeed, help current businesses owners understand the local market, and help property owners recruit potential businesses to vacant storefronts. CDD has completed successful surveys in Porter, Central and Inman Squares, and the results have informed the planning process for those areas.

We encourage you to take an intercept survey and give us your input on Harvard Square!
