Working Fire Box 45-9 - 66 Holworthy St

 

Just before 4 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, December 17th, a "working fire" was ordered for the fire at 66 Holworthy St., a 1 1/2 story, wood-frame residence. First-due Engine 9 (from the Lexington Av fire house) arrived with fire showing and started an aggressive interior attack. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished by responding companies. Simultaneously firefighters completed the primary and secondary search of the building to ensure that no residents were inside.

Engines 9, 8, 1, 6, & Belmont Engine 1; Ladders 4, 1, & 3; Rescue 1; Squads 2 & 4; Divisions 2 & 1 & Belmont Fire C-3 worked at the fire.
(Note that our mutual aid partner, Belmont Fire, immediately responded on the "line box" since this fire is close to the Belmont line.)

 

Time of the initial alarm:335 p.m.

Working fire: 359 p.m.

All-out: 629 p.m.

 

Group 4 was on duty.

 

Cambridge Police, Professional Ambulance, and Cambridge Inspectional Services assisted on scene while Cambridge Emergency Communications coordinated the response and fire ground communication.
