Emergency Medical Care study about Sensory Stimulation & Deprivation as tools for Resuscitation Training

Cambridge Firefighter Paramedics recently participated in a research study about Sensory Stimulation & Deprivation in Resuscitation to improve teamwork and skill performance during resuscitation and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).

The study and its findings were published by the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS). The research study involved EMS (Emergency Medical Servies) personnel and features Firefighter/Medics from Cambridge Fire. It was done at Professional EMS Center for Medics Sim  Lab.  JEMS has been the leading journal of EMS since 1979.

The study was conducted by Aditya Shekhar, who is a research scientist and EMS educator and writer. He contacted CFD EMS  about doing the study jointly with him. Proressional EMS  provided the Sim Lab to use.
