Expect road closures and traffic impacts on Sunday, November 5 due to the 6th Annual Cambridge Half Marathon + 5K.
The race begins and ends at CambridgeSide in East Cambridge. Beginning at 7 a.m., participants will travel through Kendall Square, Cambridgeport, Riverside, West Cambridge, Lower Allston, and Watertown. Roads along the course will close during the event. Expect road closures in the area between 5 a.m. and noon on Sunday, November 5. A block of Hurley Street between First Street and Second Street (near CambridgeSide) will also close all day on Saturday, November 4, while organizers set up for the race.
The following roads will close during the event:
Closures along the race route:
- Land Boulevard (from Binney Street to Memorial Drive): 6:45 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Memorial Drive - westbound (from First Street to Gerry's Landing Road): 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Memorial Drive - eastbound (from Gerry's Landing Road to First Street): 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- First Street (from Cambridge Street to Memorial Drive): 5 a.m. to noon
Bridge closures:
- Western Avenue Bridge: 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- River Street Bridge: 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Anderson Memorial Bridge: 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.

- Otis Street (from Second Street to First Street): 5 a.m. to noon
- Thorndike Street (from Second Street to First Street): 5 a.m. to noon
- Spring Street (from Second Street to First Street): 5 a.m. to noon
