Cambridge Preschool Program to Provide Free Preschool to Cambridge 4-Year Olds and Some 3-Year Olds. Application Opens on December 1.

Cambridge Preschool Program

The Cambridge Preschool Program, also known as universal preschool, will provide free preschool to Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. CPP will offer families a streamlined, single application process where they can apply to a variety of Cambridge-based preschool programs.

Eligibility

A child is eligible to apply to DHSP Preschools and any preschool program that is part of the Cambridge Preschool Program if:

  • They are a Cambridge resident
  • They will turn 4 years old by August 31, 2024 
  • They will turn 3 years old by August 31, 2024 

How to Apply

  • Parents and caregivers can apply to a variety of preschool programs through the Cambridge Preschool Program's single application. 
  • Applications will be accepted December 1, 2023 - January 15, 2024.
  • Prior to application launch, families can explore information about all participating preschools by visiting https://earlychildhoodcambridge.org/cpp/#application.
