Traffic Impacts in Harvard Square and Surrounding Area from Cambridge 5K Yulefest Sunday, Dec 11

Yulefest 5K Start

This holiday themed road race benefits Cambridge Family & Children's Services. The race starts & finishes on Mass Ave in Harvard Square. There will be rolling street closures along the course between 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. The MBTA will temporarily suspend services for Bus #1 and Bus #69 at the Harvard Gate stop between 9-11 a.m.

Route:

Runners will congregate on Mass Ave. near the corner of Holyoke Street,

proceed north on Mass Ave., right on Everett St., right on Oxford St., left on Kirkland St., right on Roberts Rd., left on Cambridge St., right on Inman St., right on Harvard St., then continue on Mass Ave. to the finish at the corner of Mass Ave & Dunster St.

Street Closures:

Church St (Mass Ave to Brattle) CLOSED from 5:00a - 3:00p.

Palmer St (Brattle to Church St) CLOSED from 5:00a - 3:00p.

Mass. Ave (both sides) from Quincy St to Dunster St. closed from 5-11 am

NO PARKING - Church St (both sides) from 5:00 am - 3:00 pm

NO PARKING - Mass Ave (both sides, Quincy-Dunster) from 5-11 am

Parking Restrictions:

No metered parking on Mass Ave (between Bow & Dunster St) from 7:00a - 10:00a.
