On Thursday, December 8th, the speed limit on City-owned streets in the City of Cambridge will be reduced to 25 Miles Per Hour (MPH), unless otherwise posted. This is an important step towards improving the safety of everyone who lives, works and visits Cambridge, and is a significant component of the City’s Vision Zero Initiative.
Vision Zero is a commitment the City has made to eliminate all traffic related fatalities and serious injuries while increasing safe, healthy, and equitable mobility for all.
