Analysis of the crime totals for the first six months of 2023 indicates that violent crimes recorded a 27% increase when compared with last year. Similarly, property crimes rose 21% with 228 additional crimes reported when compared with the first six months of 2022. When analyzing the serious crime totals of June 2023 versus the previous month of May 2023, there has been a slight dip of 1% in the number of index incidents. Read More.
