Join us for free live music concerts at Danehy Park on Tuesday evenings! The Danehy Park Summer Concert Series is offered in partnership by Club Passim and Cambridge Recreation.

This proposal will install new signs and maps at Danehy Park. Existing signs are broken, outdated, or missing making it difficult to navigate the 50-acre park. New signs will make Danehy inviting and easy to navigate for all visitors.

This week's selection: Arthur Rimbaud, "The Drunken Boat," "Vowels," "Eternity," "Memory," "To a Reason," and "Dawn." Reading Interests: We concentrate on Great Books in the following areas: a long novel over the summer, two sections of poetry and short stories, a book of the Bible, a Shakespeare play, an ancient and modern drama, a work of science, a smaller work of fiction, an even smaller work of fiction, and a rotating mix of politics, philosophy, and religion. Authors read in the past five years include Dickens, Keats and Yeats, O'Connor and Munro, Ecclesiastes, Sophocles and August Wilson, Darwin, Austen, Duras, The Federalist Papers, and Arendt. How to get the print book: Copies of the reading are set aside at the Main Library. Visit the Main Library at 449 Broadway during current service hours and a staff member can help you get a copy. The Walden Square Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) Project is located in the vicinity of 99 Sherman Street. The City has designated this area for redesign to help reduce the amount of storm water that goes into the city drainage system in order to prevent flooding during heavy rain events. The I&I project at Walden Square encompasses three parcels of land with the first parcel being the surface parking lot at Danehy Park, the second being the roadway at Sherman Street, and the third being the surface lot at the Walden Square Apartments.

The last two years have highlighted the importance of access to outdoor open space. In FY22, the City launched the Our Parks, Our Plan process to develop an action plan for the City’s open space network, applying an equity lens to criteria that include park access and climate resilience.

The City's Office of Sustainability has been studying how a geothermal Thermal Energy Network (TEN) could work in Cambridge. During this info session, learn how the City explored the possibilities for this technology, and what it might take to build one here in Cambridge.
