The City has launched a 21st Century Broadband initiative and hired nationally known CTC Technology & Energy (CTC) to conduct a feasibility study to help the City achieve its digital equity connectivity and Municipal Broadband goals.
Annual Spring Community Ride May 20
The 2023 Spring Ride on May 20 will take you past sites of internet and neural network history while utilizing portions of the bicycle network as a demonstration of what the full network will bring. Participants will begin gathering outside the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch at 9:00 a.m. and depart promptly at 9:30 a.m.
2025 City Manager Performance Review
This is the third year Cambridge has conducted a City Manager Performance Review, which is an important commitment to transparency and accountability. This next step will be followed by the City Council’s formal evaluation delivered at a Special City Council Meeting in December.
Roadway Paving Enhancements Beginning August 10
Beginning the August 10, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, Newport Construction, will be performing roadway milling (grinding) and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of street around the City.
