The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) provides a wide range of services and programs that touch almost every sector in the city: from newborns to senior citizens, from school-aged children to homeless families, from non-profit organizations to local employers.

Every February, CLC staff come together for a professional development day to learn with each other and work toward becoming better educators. The CLC's annual professional development day is an opportunity for teachers and advisors to learn new skills.

The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer programs to Cambridge children and youth currently in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The deadline to apply to the 2025 DHSP Summer Lottery application is Monday, March 9.

At the Community Learning Center (CLC), we help students learn new skills and prepare for jobs. We also encourage them to be active members of the Cambridge community.

The City's Green Job Specialist educates Cambridge residents about green jobs, supports them in finding and applying to green jobs, and hosts events to raise awareness about green jobs.
