AAPI Voices Poetry Open Mic with Aparna Paul (Valente)
Celebrate AAPI voices through a poetry open mic & feature! Poets of Asian American/Pacific Islander heritage are invited to share their work and/or recite a cover poem. All adults are welcome to attend. Interested poets can sign up for a 3-5 minute timeslot in the open mic by filling out this form: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/g/dszDWm1h2R Following the open mic, we will be featuring Cambridge-based poet Aparna Paul. Aparna Paul (she/her) is a writer, chemical engineer, banana bread enthusiast, & amateur crossword constructor based in Cambridge, MA. Her poetry & prose has been recognized by Reckoning, DMQ Review, & Gaining Ground, among others. She edited the anthology Reflections of The Land (Literary Cleveland, 2022) and is a co-editor of GOOD SOUP, now on hiatus (@goodsoup.mag on insta!). She performs regularly, hosts occasionally, and slams sometimes at the Boston Poetry Slam at the Cantab Lounge. HOME FREE (Game Over Books, 2025) is her debut full-length poetry collection. Books will be available for purchase. Coffee will be provided.
SketchUp SKP
The Tiled 3D Model is a combination of terrain with a draped basemap with a collection of 3D building models. These layers have been transformed from the city's GIS data into a SketchUp model that is easy to explore and to edit. SketchUp is available free for non-commercial use.

Cambridge Debuts First Electric Trash Collection Truck, Advancing City's Goal of Zero-Emission Fleet
The City of Cambridge has added its first Mack LR Electric trash collection truck to the City’s fleet, marking another critical step in helping the City meet its larger climate action and emissions reduction goals. This Mack LR Electric truck is the first fully electric trash truck in operation in Cambridge.
OST Expansion Study
The City of Cambridge, in partnership with Cambridge Public Schools, has released the Cambridge Out-of-School Time (OST) Expansion Study Report. The purpose of the study is to better understand the unmet need in Cambridge by fully examining the demand for afterschool seats and the current capacity to meet that demand.

Cambridge - Northeastern Police Academy Completes Run to Officer Sean Collier Memorial
On Wednesday, April 30th members of the seventh class at the Cambridge-Northeastern Police Academy took to the streets and trails around Kendall Sq. for what is their only full class run in Cambridge. This run is symbolic as it includes a stop at the Officer Sean A. Collier Memorial.
Beech At Elm Pop-Up
The City of Cambridge plans to redesign Beech Street near the intersection at Elm Street. The project will shorten pedestrian crossings and simplify the intersection by creating a T-shaped layout. To make these improvements possible, about six resident permit parking spaces on Beech Street near the bend will be removed.
Wiggle Party (O'Connell)
