The City of Cambridge has purchased the building located at 859 Massachusetts Avenue formerly owned by the Chamber of Commerce. The City has decided to move the family shelter, formerly located at 3 Bigelow Street, into this location.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Spelling Bee. The spelling bee aims to enhance the spelling and vocabulary skills of contestants while promoting reading, writing, and appreciation for the power of words. Community members are invited to attend the finals to provide support and cheer on contestants. The War Memorial Recreation Center, located at 1640 Cambridge St. Door 15, includes a Field House, multi-purpose room, gymnasium, weight room and 3 swimming pools. The facility offers year-round recreational programming for children and adults.

Gold Star Pool, located at 123 Berkshire Street, is open every summer for Cambridge residents to enjoy open swim. The facility has two ADA-compliant pools: a Beginner Pool (maximum depth of 3-6 ft.) and a Lap Pool.

CDD, working with the Traffic, Parking and Transportation Department, the Bicycle Committee and the Planning Board, developed a revised set of bicycle parking zoning requirements. These requirements were adopted into the Zoning Ordinance by the City Council on June 3, 2013.
