With the theme "Revolutionary Reunion 250," the Dance Party honors 250 years of community, movement, and change — a spirited nod to both Cambridge’s revolutionary roots and its ongoing cultural evolution.

Beginning on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, and continuing through Sunday, September 7, 2025 (excluding Labor Day weekend), the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), in coordination with the City of Cambridge, will close two travel lanes of Memorial Drive between Hawthorn Street and Gerry's Landing Road to accommodate manhole repair work.

The revamped magazine includes reference material from our popular guide, Living in Cambridge, and various city related articles to make it useful to both newcomers and longtime residents.

The Community Safety Department’s CARE Team launched in 2024, providing an unarmed, compassionate response to mental health crises, well-being checks, and other non-criminal emergencies. By the end of the year, they responded to nearly 200 emergency calls, assisted over 150 community members, and removed 1,600 needles from public spaces, with 94% of calls requiring no police involvement. In collaboration with local organizations and the Cambridge Police Department, the CARE Team also offers case management and referrals, helping residents access shelter, addiction treatment, housing support, and other essential services.
